Frozen Owens River

Time lapse video shot in the Owens River Valley near Independence, CA across two nights December 28 & 29. Several parts of the river were frozen solid enough to walk on, and definitely solid enough to rest a camera rig on. It was nice to be able to extend the camera further out past the reeds on the shore.

Big camera moves were shot on a Dynamic Perception Stage One PLUS with a Stage R pan/tilt rig and smaller moves were shot on an eMotimo TB3 and a Polarie Vixen. Cameras were Sony a7S’s using a variety of lenses. Power was provided by a big Goal Zero battery pack.
