Scotland & Ireland

This year we decided to take our big international trip to Scotland and Ireland. They have the benefit of being English speaking countries – oh, and they are also quite scenic and chock full of history. We spent a week in each country, renting a car in each to explore not only the major cities, but also the countryside. Although driving on the left side of the road took some brain adjustments, we thankfully did not have to utilize the insurance on the rental cars. There was a pretty even mix between overcast days and days with epic clouds. We were hailed on four times in Edinburgh, blasted by 60mph winds in the Scottish mountains on a sunny day, and had several days with 40°F highs. Overall though, the weather was great and added to the character of the trip. Overall I shot approximately 5000 photos totaling over 90gb; this gallery attempted to narrow that down.

Rough Itinerary:
Scotland | Edinburgh -> Stirling -> Oban -> Isle of Skye -> Dufftown/Aberlour -> Edinburgh
Ireland | Dublin -> Connemara Area -> Ballyvaghan -> Dingle -> Killarney -> Kinsale -> Waterford -> Dublin
